• Business Administrator – Level 3 Apprenticeship – Exeter

    About Us:
    Sands provides a civil and structural engineering consultancy service to the South West, South East, South Wales
    and the Midlands. Established in 1991, we offer a comprehensive service covering all aspects of civil & structural
    engineering design for the construction industry. Our offices are based in the centre of Exeter, in a beautiful
    historic building that is nestled into a hidden business complex just a short walk from the high street.
    The Role:
    We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Business Administrator Apprentice to join the team in Exeter to
    support a busy engineering office. The position requires a commitment of 37 hours per week.
    Main Duties and Responsibilities:
    You will be responsible for:
    ▪ Dealing with incoming calls & correspondence and greeting clients.
    ▪ Creating project files and maintaining project database.
    ▪ Photocopying, printing, binding, and scanning various documents; sometimes on behalf of other
    colleagues.
    ▪ Documentation editing and combining.
    ▪ Monitoring timesheets and ensuring staff records are kept up to date.
    ▪ Managing the meeting room diary, ensuring the meeting room is tidy and presentable and making
    refreshments available to any visitors.
    ▪ Maintaining, monitoring, and ordering office supplies and stationery.
    ▪ Sorting and distributing incoming post, organising, and sending outgoing post.
    ▪ Setting up and maintaining customer files and contact details.
    ▪ Submitting meter readings for utility bills and printers.
    ▪ Assisting in day-to-day accounts tasks:

    • Including processing expenses, credit cards and petty cash.
    • Cover for main accounts role when required.
      ▪ Managing the overall archiving process and ensuring records are kept up to date.
      ▪ Providing any necessary support to the Practice Manager:
      Attributes.
      The successful candidate will be willing to assist others with their duties and be proactive in their method. A
      candidate who can use their own initiative to assist as required with strong attention to detail and the ability to
      work as a team with excellent customer service.

      Salary & Benefits:
