    Employer Description

System Six Kitchens is an independent, family-run business that was started in 1975 by Malcolm Trevor Foster. Trevor sadly passed away in 2011, and the company is now run by Trevor’s eldest son Ian.

Trevor hand-made his very first kitchens in a workshop housed in one of the old arches on Exeter Quay. He was a craftsman and an extremely hard worker, and it wasn’t long before word of his business spread. He quickly out-grew his initial premises and moved to 6 King Street.

By 1985, a System Six kitchen was being featured as a major selling point on property adverts; and the company had moved its premises to the booming industrial estate of Marsh Barton. A new manufacturing facility was created, and a showroom opened.

In its current form, System Six Kitchens stands as the largest kitchen manufacturer in the South West with a 40,000 sq ft factory producing 1000+ cabinets per week and employing 80+ staff members from the local area.
