• Brief overview of the role

    The Business is looking for a vibrant and motivated individual to work in the Plastering sector, working alongside their fully qualified highly experienced workmen in Exmouth/Tiverton. You will be fully supported throughout your apprenticeship by the owner of the business.

    Vacancy description

    As an Apprentice your duties will include:

    • Watching employer enabling new skills
    • Learning plastering techniques, using different methods
    • Complying with health and safety
    • Learner how to plaster boards
    • Measuring cutting, attaching boarding
    • General labouring
    • Some Groundwork
    • Making sure that the work area is clean and tidy
    • Fixing plaster boards
    • Respect the working environment including customers’ properties, impact on other trades and the project
    • Renovate and restore internal and external effected surfaces back to original state.
    • Prepare background substrates for internal solid plastering, dry lining and external rendering
    • Mix plasters and rendering materials including additives to a workable consistency. Select correct additives and reinforcements.
    • Apply solid plastering systems using one and two coat plastering to internal surfaces

    You will be fully supported throughout your Apprenticeship.

    Future prospects

    After completing your Apprenticeship, you may have the chance to progress onto an Advanced Apprenticeship within the Construction Industry. There may be the chance of full-time employment for the right learner.
